The Valley of the Butterflies is one of the most enchanting natural attractions in Rhodes — a lush, shaded gorge filled with running water, wooden bridges, and thousands of butterflies that gather here every summer.

As you walk along the cool forest paths, you’ll pass small waterfalls, stone steps, and tranquil ponds surrounded by tall plane trees. During the peak season (June to September), the valley becomes a sanctuary for the Jersey Tiger moths, covering the trees and rocks with their vibrant colors.

The peaceful atmosphere, the sound of flowing water, and the sight of butterflies fluttering around you make it a truly unique experience — perfect for families, couples, and nature enthusiasts.

At the upper part of the valley, you’ll find the Kalopetra Monastery, offering stunning views over the surrounding hills.
